#1 question you can ask yourself to get closer to your goal

I wanted to pop in with a tip that will help you to always crush your goals. It is a simple question you can ask yourself.

When I started practicing this consistently everything started to change for me. My goals didn’t seem like mountains anymore, my productivity sky-rocketed, and the energy I brought to every day was different.

Often times when we set a new goal the first thing we do is add stuff to our list in order to get there. I don’t know about you but the last thing I need is MORE to do’s!

But reality is there are things you are doing today that aren’t supporting you in achieving your goal.

What if it were as simple as dropping the things that aren’t serving you anymore?

My mentor told me to ask myself “What do I have to STOP doing in order to attain my goal.” So instead of adding more tasks to our list, we can just simply eliminate actions that do not support the end game.

BOOM! Game changer.

Let me explain.

So say you want to lose 1 pound this week because your ultimate goal is 5 pounds by the end of the month. There are things you may be doing today that you can simply stop doing. Like eating a cheeseburger at lunch, or drinking soda, or eating that brownie. What if it were as simple as choosing a salad instead, or water, or opting for a hand full of nuts?

Those are all tiny decisions that add up over time to the weight you may be carrying. So instead of telling yourself, you need to work out 3 times a day in order to lose that weight, you can simply say what do I have to stop doing in order to support that goal.

I am by no means saying do not work out. But you get the gist of what I am talking about here.

When we can look at things this way it makes goal setting so much lighter, and actually attainable. Problem is we often set goals, and run after them with full steam, but that steam runs out and we fall back into old pattern quickly because of overwhelm and just the pure fact of not enough time.

So this week pertaining to your new goals, ask yourself that simple question. Let us know in the FB Group what is the #1 thing your eye is on achieving this week.
